Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Document Scanning Specialist to join our team at AEVEX Aerospace. As a key member of our declassification program, you will be responsible for supporting the digitization effort by converting paper documents to image format.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare files and documents for scanning, ensuring accuracy and quality control
  • Determine the most suitable scanning device for each document type, ensuring optimal image quality
  • Perform and monitor all activities required to scan documents, including quality control and indexing
  • Manage inventory of workstations and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and availability
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity
  • Review scanned document images to verify accuracy and quality, rescanning as needed to meet quality standards
  • Deliver scanned pages in electronic format, meeting scanning targets and deadlines

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with 6+ years of work experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly and crossover eligibility
  • Ability to lift cartons weighing up to 35 pounds, as required
  • Previous scanning experience and strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality control and indexing
  • Ability to use various scanning and viewing equipment, as well as MS Office and other internal applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities, with a strong understanding of security requirements
