Job Title: Controls Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Integration Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Maintenance and Engineering department, you will be responsible for integrating control systems across our production lines, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the integration of control systems for new and existing production machinery, ensuring smooth communication and interoperability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compatibility and integration of diverse control systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate PLC programming and HMI integration efforts to create unified control interfaces for streamlined operations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and resolve any integration-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integrated systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • Proven experience 3+ years in controls integration or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Expertise in PLC programming and HMI integration (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) to facilitate seamless control system integration.
  • Strong understanding of control system architectures, networking protocols, and industrial communication standards (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting integrated control systems and addressing compatibility issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors.
