Corporate Controls Specialist

At Volt, we are seeking a skilled Corporate Controls Engineer to join our team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Wooster, OH, with relocation assistance available. As a Corporate Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Corporate Controls Engineering Department, working on controls and automation projects to install new manufacturing systems and upgrade existing manufacturing systems in all of our client's manufacturing facilities. You will provide on-site support for controls and automation activities at the manufacturing facility. The Corporate Controls Engineer will report directly to the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and installing plant controls and automation systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and MES data collection.
* Providing technical support for controls and automation systems, utilizing the client's HELP desk system.
* Designing and specifying plant control system architecture, including control panels, hardware, and communication protocols.
* Developing and enforcing process controls standards.
* Partnering with and directing 3rd party controls engineering partners.
Requirements for this role include:
* A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university, or industry experience in lieu of a degree.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience working within a controls and automation engineering role in the food and beverage, consumer goods, or similar industry.
* Advanced ladder logic programming within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix).
* Advanced HMI development, preferably within Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra System Platform.
* Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
* Familiarity with design/specification of process control panels.
* Experience in food and beverage, or similar industry with high sanitary standards utilizing CIP cleaning and sterilization.
* Experience with Wonderware MES, or a similar MES platform.
* Experience with .NET programming environment.
* Experience with SQL databases.
* Experience with Ethernet/IP communication within a plant control system.
* Excellent formal and informal communication skills and a professional attitude.
* Strong computer skills (MS Office).
* Ability to travel, up to 25%.
Salary range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Benefits: Since this is a direct hire role, benefits will be provided by the employer.
