Peer Navigator Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Peer Navigator to join our team at Dynamic Campus. As a Peer Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental illnesses, and homelessness.

Job Summary

The Peer Navigator will work with clients as they transition between our medical detox program and applicable community services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide services to clients who are currently inpatient in our detox program, and in a short-term capacity in the community, assisting to link post-detox clients to treatment, case management, housing, or other necessary resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a professional, compassionate manner with clients.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, community partners, and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of discharge plans for clients.
  • Document activities in client records.
  • Collect data as required.
  • Participate in supervision with the Clinical Team Lead.
  • Facilitate transport and escort clients to first appointments with community providers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of clients served.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Identify as a person in long-term recovery (18 months minimum).
  • Successfully complete Peer Recovery Coach training.
  • Obtain certification as a Certified Intention Peer Support Specialist.
  • Possess a valid Maine driver's license and have a reliable vehicle.
Compensation

The Peer Navigator will be compensated at a rate of $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour, with an additional $2.50/hour for weekend shifts.
