Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resource Navigator to join our Youth Services team at Outside In. As a key member of our ROSE program, you will play a vital role in connecting youth with essential resources and services in and around Portland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth receiving ROSE services, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Conduct ASAM Assessments to identify the most suitable resources and services for each participant.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local resources, including treatment options, housing, support groups, mental health services, and basic needs.
  • Collaborate with agency partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless referrals and connections for participants.
  • Provide training and information on substance use disorder topics to Peer Mentors and other Homeless Youth Continuum staff.
  • Engage youth in Outside In program offerings and track participant eligibility for ROSE programming.
Requirements
  • CADC 1 certification preferred; ability to become certified within 6 months of employment required.
  • Two years of relevant experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and communities preferred.
  • Experience working with homeless populations and/or individuals with mental health and substance use concerns preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a standard office environment, as well as remotely and in community locations to support connection to resources. The employee will meet with participants in community settings, including the DMV, TriMet office, and other surrounding areas.

This position requires travel within the community, with the ability to drive being preferred.
