Job Summary

As a Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator at Prisma Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for trauma patients. This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who can analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program, ensuring compliance with American College of Surgeons and South Carolina DHEC level One Trauma Center requirements.
  • Analyze trauma registry data to identify areas for improvement and develop reports to inform education and injury prevention activities.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of trauma protocols, guidelines, and standard order sets, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of projects to enhance the trauma service, including case reviews and analyses to identify contributing factors to variance in care and/or complications.
  • Participate in trauma-related research, providing data to investigators in compliance with HIPAA and Prisma Health IRB regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of nursing-related experience, with experience in critical care, emergency, and trauma nursing preferred
  • Experience in Quality Improvement and research is preferred
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
  • TNCC or related certification preferred
