Job Summary

As a Trauma Quality Improvement Coordinator at Prisma Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of care for trauma patients. Your expertise in quality assessment and improvement will drive the development of validated care standards, data repositories, and outcome measurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program, aligning with American College of Surgeons and South Carolina DHEC guidelines.
  • Develop and implement action plans for process improvement, ensuring loop closure and follow-through.
  • Analyze trauma registry data to identify areas for improvement, education, and injury prevention activities.
  • Facilitate the identification and documentation of hospital-based and American College of Surgeons-approved performance improvement variances and complications.
  • Assess the need for and develop trauma protocols, guidelines, pathways, and standard order sets.
  • Participate in trauma-related research, providing data to investigators in compliance with HIPAA and Prisma Health IRB.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of nursing-related experience, with a preference for critical care, emergency, and trauma nursing experience.
  • Experience in Quality Improvement and research is preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
  • TNCC or related certification is preferred.
