Job Summary

The Materials Manager is a critical role at Healthnet Services, Inc, responsible for overseeing the procurement and inventory management of supplies for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills to work with various stakeholders, including vendors, physicians, and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Responsible for procuring all supplies, including specialty items and implants, for surgical cases. Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring they meet the center's policies and procedures. Hold vendors accountable for quality and delivery.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Work with the clinical team to ensure accuracy of physician preference cards. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels, manage par levels, and ensure rotation of supplies and expiration dates.
  • Software Management: Responsible for maintaining the Materials Management Software for the facility.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of purchasing experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Materials Management Software: Experience with Materials Management software required.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Knowledge of supplies and equipment utilized in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Procedure Room, and Sterile Processing.
