Private Events Sales Manager

Zuma is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Events Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales and ensuring exceptional guest experiences for our private events.
Key Responsibilities:- Book and coordinate events, ensuring all details are accurately captured and executed
- Drive event sales through proactive selling, showing, and closing techniques
- Develop and implement floor plans for events, ensuring optimal layout and flow
- Print and prepare menus, ensuring they meet guest requirements and standards
- Attend meetings with chefs, operations leaders, and clients to discuss event details and requirements
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and outreach strategies to generate new leads
- Provide on-site support during events, addressing any issues or concerns that arise
- Close out billing for events, ensuring all financial aspects are handled accurately and efficiently
- Conduct outreach activities to generate new leads and build relationships with potential clients
- Manage a high volume of inbound leads, maintaining a professional and timely response to all inquiries
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Zuma's offerings to effectively sell and promote the venue
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and achieve sales targets and goals
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor, health, and safety laws
- Operate ethically to protect the image of the company
- 1-2 years of experience in event sales, preferably within a restaurant or hotel restaurant environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in using event management and sales software
- Professional demeanor and appearance, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
