Position Summary:

The Audio Visual Systems Technician is tasked with the installation and configuration of various electronic systems, including video surveillance setups, home networking solutions, audio systems, lighting controls, automation systems, motorized window treatments, and comprehensive home theater installations. This role also encompasses electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure audiovisual equipment.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service.
  • Conduct video, audio, and signal testing.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize AV systems as necessary.
  • Perform electronic repairs, installations, and maintenance.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in AV systems.
  • Proficient in low voltage installation techniques.
  • Experience in audio/video installation and wire management.
  • Skills in network and audio cable termination.
  • Competence in computer skills, network setup, and configuration.
  • Experience with CCTV installation and NVR setup.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Control4, Lutron, Savant, RTI, or URC installation and programming is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and reference checks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, kneel, reach, and grasp.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work environment includes typical office settings and client locations.
  • Willingness to drive for extended periods to reach customer sites.
  • Clear vision for color differentiation and the ability to hear and understand speech and sounds.
