Job Overview

Audio Visual Field Technician -- Responsible for executing installations and service calls for commercial clients. A/V technicians play a crucial role in the setup and troubleshooting of Video, Control, and Data systems, ensuring that all installed equipment adheres to specified standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform low voltage installations, including carrying and climbing ladders.
  • Run video, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Engage in rack fabrication and system commissioning under the guidance of engineering personnel.
  • Demonstrate understanding and skills in computer and A/V control systems.

Basic Employment Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and random drug screenings.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Capability to lift up to 80lbs.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills, being polite and professional.
  • Willingness to work 5-6 days a week, with shifts ranging from 8-12 hours as necessary.

Success in this role requires punctuality and a robust work ethic. A commitment to ongoing education and skill enhancement is essential.

Trade Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates Degree in Technology is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Infocomm CTS or CTS-1 certification is desirable.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Card.
  • Forklift and Scissor-lift Certification; willingness to undertake training is necessary.
