Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Endocrinology practice. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our experienced team of Endocrinologists.
Responsibilities:- Provide outpatient clinical duties at M Health Fairview Specialty Clinics in Fridley and Edina.
- Treat patients with a variety of general Endocrinology conditions, focusing on the diabetes patient population.
- Obtain patient histories, provide physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling, orders and interprets diagnostic procedures, and manages acute and chronic disease conditions.
- Independently assess and manage patients with diabetes, implementing diabetes care plans developed in collaboration with physicians.
- Attend meetings and provide basic diabetes education.
- Work as a member of an experienced team of Endocrinologists and collaborate with diabetes educators and pharmacists.
- A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Eligible to be certified or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
- Licensed or eligible to obtain a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Nursing (NPs).
- Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Experience as an NP or PA of 3 years in endocrinology or a similar related specialty area.
