Obstetrician and Gynecologist Faculty Position

The University of New Mexico School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking a highly motivated and well-trained academic physician to join our faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
About the PositionThis is an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will be involved in clinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus.
About the DivisionThe Division of Urogynecology is a dynamic and growing division with an established fellowship program, a busy clinical practice, and a strong research and education program. The division is home to an accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, with a primary objective to train well-rounded, subspecialist physicians who are experts in surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor.
Responsibilities- Participate in the education and surgical training of medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operating room.
- Provide additional surgical opportunities for training residents and fellows.
- Contribute to the climate of diversity and inclusivity in the department and the university.
The successful candidate will have a MD or D.O. degree or equivalent, be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and have completion of a Fellowship or advanced training in FPMRS. Eligibility for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration is also required.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching students and residents, clinical skills and scholarly activity, experience working within a managed care environment, experience working in a multidisciplinary environment, experience or interest in research activity and career development, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success are preferred.
