Job Summary

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a Faculty Position in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Open Rank, Open Track). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the climate of diversity and inclusivity at UNM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage women's health care, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and family planning needs.
  • Practice within the healthcare system, performing consultation, collaborative management, or referral as needed.
  • Participate in the education and training of student nurse midwives, advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinical setting.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical research projects and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Master's degree (MSN) in Midwifery or a related field.
  • Participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American Midwifery Certification Board (or eligible).
  • CNM license with the New Mexico Department of Health (or eligible).
  • RN license with the New Mexico Board of Nursing (or eligible).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching adult learners.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Interest in participating in clinical research.
  • At least one year of clinical experience working in an academic medical center.
