Dal-Tile is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to contribute to our manufacturing operations.

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of complex machinery and electrical systems within our facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using handheld devices or laptops.
  • Design and modify PLC programs and software for optimal system performance.
  • Manage computer setups, including formatting hard drives and installing necessary applications.
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment used in the generation, distribution, and utilization of energy within a manufacturing environment.
  • Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems or equipment by interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform calculations related to load requirements for wiring and electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Serial port communication systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, etc.).
  • Possess a foundational understanding of Servomotors and drive units.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs through innovative solutions.
  • Implement process improvements by developing and executing plans.
  • Utilize various electrician's tools, including measuring and testing instruments.
  • Communicate equipment operational status to supervisors and promptly report any issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code is essential.
  • Formal PLC training is preferred.
  • Associate degree in industrial electronics is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electro-mechanical maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
