The Maintenance Team Leader is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing a dedicated team focused on the upkeep and operational efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance operations across multiple shifts, ensuring that work orders are prioritized and completed efficiently.
  • Develop daily schedules for routine and preventive maintenance tasks aimed at optimizing productivity and safety standards.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to established priorities.
  • Verify and manage employee time records accurately.
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment, including documentation and revisions.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams and oversee daily activities.
  • Ensure machinery is maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to enhance work conditions and equipment usage.
  • Assess the quality and efficiency of work performed by the team, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Facilitate training and development for team members, identifying resource needs and participating in the hiring process.
  • Maintain comprehensive training records for all employees.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other departments to address issues impacting production quality.
  • Lead special projects and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Report on maintenance program execution, equipment performance, and departmental activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and safety compliance.
  • Ensure maintenance teams are well-equipped and prepared for their tasks.
  • Address operational challenges and conflicts within the team.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of management experience.
  • Specialized expertise in the maintenance field is required.
  • Strong focus on team productivity and impact.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable to change and a collaborative team player.
  • Professionalism and resourcefulness in the absence of formal guidelines.

Work Environment:
This role may involve exposure to various conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including noise and the need for personal protective equipment. Candidates should be prepared for physical demands such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
