Job Overview

Position: Quality Assurance Technician
Shift: 1st shift: Mon - Thur 7am-5:30pm. Flexibility for a 12 hr shift 2/2/3 schedule.
Compensation: $17.48 per hour

Allegiance Staffing is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at the Kings Mountain facility. The primary role of the QA Technician is to uphold product quality and safety standards in alignment with corporate goals. Key responsibilities include conducting raw material inspections, in-process evaluations, and final product assessments, as well as documentation review, formulation, auditing, and project involvement. This role demands a high degree of analytical, technical, and communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of all incoming and outgoing materials, ingredients, and packaged products.
  • Support adherence to local, state, and federal Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Conduct both objective and subjective evaluations of raw materials and finished products to meet Quality Foods standards.
  • Maintain precise quality assurance documentation as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager.
  • Utilize approved laboratory methods for all required sampling as outlined in the quality assurance manual.
  • Alert production management of any non-compliant incoming materials and/or ingredients prior to unloading.
  • Assist in the enforcement of policies and procedures.
  • Continuously seek, propose, and implement methods to enhance and/or reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Keep the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Production Manager informed of any production concerns, issues, and food safety matters.
  • Maintain proficiency in daily quality monitoring tasks.
  • Assist in preparing routine (weekly/monthly) and non-routine quality reports.
  • Participate in assigned training programs, which may require overnight travel.
  • Stay updated on all relevant procedures and procedural changes applicable to the position.
  • Promptly report food safety and quality issues to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and/or Manager or other authorized management personnel.
  • Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, including GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that will contribute to the overall success of the company and department objectives.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment with quality assurance systems.
  • High energy and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in quality systems.
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities and workflow effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across various groups and levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid decision-making abilities with the capacity to recognize boundaries and seek assistance when necessary.
  • High integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to generate routine and non-routine reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a deadline-driven environment with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
