We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at The LiRo Group. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction work meets building standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Inspect materials upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review plans to identify potential violations and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Document inspections and report any issues or non-compliance.
- Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing and inspection.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management (preferred).
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in building construction trades.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector, including inspection of site/civil.
- OSHA 30 hr. certification.
- Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems.
- Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team.
- Experience with the Uniform Code and NYC Supplement (preferred).
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations.
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Collaboration with multiple team members.
- Ability to safely maneuver around a construction site.
