Allegiance Staffing is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at a manufacturing facility. The QA Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and safety in alignment with corporate standards. Key responsibilities include conducting raw material inspections, in-process evaluations, and final product assessments, along with document verification, formulation analysis, auditing, and project involvement. This role demands strong analytical, technical, and communication capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance of all incoming and outgoing materials, ingredients, and packaged products.
- Support adherence to local, state, and federal Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct both objective and subjective evaluations of raw materials and finished products to meet Quality Foods standards.
- Maintain precise quality assurance documentation as directed by supervisory staff.
- Utilize approved laboratory methods for all sampling required for analysis as outlined in the quality assurance manual.
- Alert production management of any non-compliant incoming materials and/or ingredients prior to their unloading.
- Assist in the enforcement of policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek, propose, and implement improved methods to maintain and/or reduce manufacturing costs.
- Keep the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Production Manager informed of any production issues, concerns, and food safety matters.
- Maintain proficiency in daily quality monitoring tasks.
- Assist in preparing routine (weekly/monthly) and non-routine quality reports.
- Participate in assigned training programs, which may require overnight travel.
- Stay updated on all procedures and procedural changes relevant to the position.
- Promptly report food safety and quality issues to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and/or Manager or other authorized management personnel.
- Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, including GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that will support the overall objectives of the company and department.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment with quality assurance systems.
- High energy level and a strong commitment to driving continuous improvement in quality systems.
- Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage responsibilities and workflow effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with various groups, departments, and management levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid decision-making abilities with the capacity to recognize limits and seek assistance when necessary.
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to generate routine and non-routine reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a deadline-driven environment with excellent time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
