Our facility features a variety of living options, including Independent Living Units, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Support.

Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced full-time Floor Technician to enhance our team and provide exceptional service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining floors and carpets across the community on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to quality care and safety standards.
  • Performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting various flooring types.
  • Removing trash and debris from both inside the facility and its surroundings.
  • Preparing vacant rooms for new residents.
  • Conducting deep cleaning of private living spaces.
  • Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Keeping utility rooms organized and tidy.
  • Assisting with additional housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Interacting respectfully and courteously with residents, guests, and staff.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in floor care is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment is desired.
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and equipment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
  • A genuine interest in working within a Continuing Care Retirement Community.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination is required to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
  • Physical capability to assist residents and perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
