Position Overview
We are currently in search of a dedicated and experienced full-time Floor Technician to enhance our team and provide exceptional services to our residents and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the thorough cleaning and maintenance of floors and carpets throughout our facilities, adhering to all quality care standards and safety protocols. Candidates with prior experience in senior living environments are highly preferred, particularly those who have a genuine passion for working with the elderly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of floors and carpets, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, and caring for various flooring types.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain cleanliness in both the interior and exterior of the facility.
  • Prepare vacant rooms for new occupants.
  • Conduct deep cleaning services for private residences.
  • Oversee the maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies, promptly reporting any issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensure utility rooms are kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a respectful and courteous attitude towards all residents, guests, visitors, co-workers, and management.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in floor care is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare environment that adheres to high-quality care standards.
  • Familiarity with floor cleaning products and equipment, following all safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
  • A genuine desire to work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrating a commitment to Service Excellence.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination is required to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff.
  • Physical capability to assist residents and perform various tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds and exerting a minimum of 50 pounds of force.
