About the Job:
The successful candidate will conduct research and development activities in support of Cyber Operations, Special Operations, and Homeland Protection Mission Areas. You will be responsible for researching and developing innovative solutions for military and Government sponsors. As a member of our team, you will apply problem-solving and analysis skills to areas related to telecommunications, remote sensing, anomaly detection, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wireless communication systems engineering research activities.
- Develop innovative solutions for military and Government sponsors.
- Apply problem-solving and analysis skills to areas related to telecommunications, remote sensing, anomaly detection, etc.
- Lead the research and development of innovative solutions to solve complex problems in the field of wireless communications.
- Identify appropriate algorithms and approaches for solving critical communications problems using advanced signal processing, data processing, and machine learning techniques.
- Develop software prototypes of novel signal processing approaches.
- Document work in formal technical reports and informal memoranda and present work to sponsors and the technical community.
- Support testing of prototype and operational systems working closely with sponsors to ensure mission success.
Qualifications:
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical field. At least one year of relevant experience in wireless communications engineering is also required. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills along with effective oral and written communications skills are essential. Additionally, you must be capable of working on projects independently and have the ability to travel within the continental United States.
Bonus Qualifications:
Having at least five years of experience in commercial and/or government Wireless Communications Engineering is considered a bonus. Experience in some combination of implementation languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++/C, PyTorch, Tensorflow is also beneficial. Holding an active Top Secret clearance or higher is desirable.
