About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Dietary Wait Staff to join our team at HallKeen Assisted Living Communities LLC in Watertown, MA. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive benefits package.
Job SummaryThe Dietary Wait Staff will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and family members. They will work closely with the food service director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Work collaboratively with the food service director to address resident concerns and suggestions.
- Create a positive and inclusive team environment among staff members.
- Acknowledge new residents and provide them with information about menus, seating, and dining options.
- Set tables according to HallKeen Assisted Living standards.
- Serve beverages as requested and review daily menus with residents.
- Deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
- Remove used or soiled items from the dining room and perform cleaning and sanitizing duties.
- Communicate resident preferences and dislikes to the food service director for menu planning purposes.
- Less than high school education is not required, but minimum of 2 years of dining room or restaurant wait staff experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety standards is essential.
- Strong organization and time management skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to resolve problems and communicate effectively with employees, coworkers, and residents.
- Physically able to move at least 50 pounds without assistance.
- Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas.
- Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings.
- Physically able to stand and work on hands and knees for extended periods.
