Culinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Care Specialist to join our team at Good Samaritan Society in Watertown, SD.
Job SummaryThe Culinary Care Specialist will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to patients, residents, staff, and visitors. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, stovetops, and dishwashers
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth meal service
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
- Basic math skills and ability to measure ingredients accurately
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred
- ServSafe certification may be required depending on location
The estimated salary for this position is $20-$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The Good Samaritan Society offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and generous time off.
