This position is part of the Cyber & Electronic Warfare sector within HII's Mission Technologies division. HII plays a crucial role in supporting our nation's intelligence and cyber operations to safeguard our interests in the digital realm.

Job Overview:
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Systems Administrator.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possesses a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of development systems, including security patches, kernel updates, and operating system updates.
  • Utilize established procedures to identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware failures, restoring system functionality.
  • Provide administrative support, including user account management, security group oversight, and shared resource configuration.
  • Facilitate data transfers between networks as required.
  • Procure and set up PCs for new staff members.
  • Manage printer toner inventory and replace cartridges as necessary.
  • Maintain system documentation and inventory records.
  • Perform additional infrastructure maintenance tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

0 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related IT/Computer field or a High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.

Current CompTIA Security+ certification preferred at the time of hire or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows OS, and Windows Server OS.

Basic understanding of the OSI networking model.

Physical ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs, as well as climb ladders and work in confined spaces.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks.

Minimum Secret clearance is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in configuring and managing VPN connections to remote locations.
  • Other IT/technical certifications beyond those listed.
  • Experience in classified environments.
  • Experience with NIPR, SIPR, and other DoD networks.
  • Familiarity with various databases, including SQL and relational data stores.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
Physical Requirements:

Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to meet the demands of the Systems Analyst role.
