Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the servicing of personal insurance accounts, ensuring accurate data entry and updates while delivering prompt and courteous assistance to clients, account managers, and insurance providers.
  • Oversee the reporting and management of open claims, providing timely and professional support to clients, sales agents, and insurance firms.
  • Collaborate with the Personal Lines Division to ensure compliance with all operational procedures and insurance regulations among team members.
  • Proficiently utilize agency management systems and adhere to all procedural guidelines set forth by the agency and insurance carriers.
  • Handle incoming calls and referrals for new business, gathering essential information and completing necessary applications.
  • Maintain organized customer records, ensuring all transactions are accurately documented and attached.
  • Process all incoming correspondence on the day it is received, ensuring timely action.
  • Prepare and manage renewal processes at least 60 days prior to policy expiration, including drafting proposals for new and renewal business as required.
  • Collect claim details related to losses and communicate this information to the insurance provider promptly.
  • Guide clients through the necessary steps for loss settlement.
  • Follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate claim resolutions.
  • Address client inquiries regarding the status of their claims.
  • Alert management to any practices that may pose a risk for errors and omissions claims.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings organized by the agency or insurance companies.
  • Engage in continuing education to fulfill licensing requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; some college education is preferred.
  • A valid Property & Casualty Insurance License is essential.
  • Familiarity with AMS 360 is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in the insurance sector is preferred, particularly within an independent agency setting.
