Insurance Service Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Service Representative to join our team at Digital Insurance LLC. As a Personal Lines Client Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, including computer input and update of personal lines accounts, reporting and service of open claims, and ensuring all procedures and insurance regulations are communicated to and adhered to by all employees within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to insureds, account executives, and insurance companies regarding personal lines accounts and open claims.
- Assist the Personal Lines Department in ensuring all procedures and insurance regulations are communicated to and adhered to by all employees within the department.
- Understand and successfully use agency automation and follow all agency systems procedures and insurance company regulations.
- Receive telephone calls and other agency referrals for new business and gather necessary information and completion of applications.
- Maintain customer files, check and attach various transactions to customer files, and review all incoming mail the day it was received and process it accordingly.
- Review and order all necessary renewals no later than 60 days prior to expiration date, prepare proposals for new accounts and renewal business as needed, and receive claim information regarding a loss and report the information to the insurance company the day it was received.
- Advise the insured what processes are necessary for the settlement of the loss, follow-up with insurance companies for the timely and accurate settlement of the loss, and respond to customers' inquiries and questions regarding the status of the loss.
- Notify management of any potential business practices that may lead to an E&O claim, attend training programs and meetings sponsored by the agency and/or companies, and attend continuing education classes to ensure all hours are completed to retain insurance license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
- P & C Insurance License Required.
- Experience with AMS 360 a plus.
- Insurance experience preferred, preferably within an independent agency.
