Job Summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or other assigned supervisor. You will collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies, and procedures of the organization.
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting the needs of the patient/family.
  • Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and committees as needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
  • One year of LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to unpredictable situations.
