Job Title: Automation Projects Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Projects Engineer to join our team at Work For Warriors Georgia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) projects, production, processing methods, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of WCM projects, production, processing methods, and controls.
  • Ensure that processes are centered, capable, and in control, reducing process variations and resolving special causes variation.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation and support of plant automation, electrical, and database systems.
  • Provide electrical and electronic technical support to all production and maintenance operations throughout the plant.
  • Design, budget, schedule, and manage capital projects, as well as provide daily technical and troubleshooting support to the manufacturing operation of the facility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Ten to twenty years of applied professional experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / PLC, automation, industrial protocols/networking (switching & routing), and databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing, and team environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, Power distribution systems including switch gear components, Servo Motor Equipment and programming, Ethernet Networking systems, HMI and PLC Programming / Troubleshooting, Electrical and Electronic systems integration, Electro-Mechanical design and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, including P&ID, IO schematics, one-line diagrams, 3-line schematics, and other related knowledge.
