Job Title: Automation Projects Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Projects Engineer to join our team at Work For Warriors Georgia. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems that drive efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation projects, including process control systems, electrical and electronic systems, and database systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation-related systems, including PLC/HMI/VFD/Instrumentation/Data and Voice Networks/plant electrical distribution systems.
  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings, BOM's, and schematics for automation projects.
  • Obtain cost estimates and contractor bids for electrical and automation projects and improvements.
  • Manage automation-related projects and provide status reports to plant management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Ten to twenty years of applied professional experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / PLC, automation, industrial protocols/networking (switching & routing), and databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing, and team environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, Power distribution systems including switch gear components, Servo Motor Equipment and programming, Ethernet Networking systems, HMI and PLC Programming / Troubleshooting, Electrical and Electronic systems integration, Electro-Mechanical design and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, including P&ID, IO schematics, one-line diagrams, 3-line schematics, and other related knowledge.
