Job Overview

A distinguished culinary leader is sought after to spearhead the successful operation of the culinary program at a prominent corporate dining account in New York City.

Responsibilities:
  1. Culinary Operations: Oversee top-quality food services, including cafe operations, catering, and executive dining, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experiences.
  2. Financial Management: Maintain optimal food costs while upholding quality standards, leveraging expertise in budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, and cost analysis.
  3. Purchasing and Inventory: Strategically manage procurement, inventory, and cost controls to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations through diligent auditing and implementation of departmental sanitation procedures.
  5. Safety and Security: Foster a safe working environment by following facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures, including incident reporting.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum five to eight years of progressive culinary management experience, preferably in luxury hospitality environments.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of current food trends, focusing on quality goods, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Budgeting and Labor Costs: Proven ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory controls.
  • Leadership and Training: Excellent leadership, coaching, and training skills to foster a high-performing team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer applications, Microsoft Office programs, email, and relevant purchasing/inventory systems.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Certifications: ServeSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
