Final Assembly Technician

Position Overview:
General Summary: As a vital member of the XL Specialized Trailers team, you will contribute to our production efforts by assembling various parts and subassemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for assembly tasks by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position components accurately using templates or by interpreting measurements.
- Install parts by ensuring proper fit and securely fastening components and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed assemblies.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications and communicating with supervisors for additional resources.
- Maintain equipment functionality by performing preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Proactively identify and address safety and health risks by assessing environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.
- Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as necessary.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives at XL Specialized Trailers by leading and participating in projects such as lean manufacturing, 5-S, and Kaizen.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned to enhance overall operations at XL Specialized Trailers.

Work is conducted under direct supervision, with the expectation of keeping supervisors informed about progress and any potential issues.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding company values.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Capability to routinely lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs., with the ability to move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.
Work is primarily conducted indoors within a production facility.
