Role Summary:
The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all physical operations within the facility. This role includes managing mechanical systems, maintaining production machinery, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, and enhancing overall cost efficiency. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and supervise a team of Millwrights and Coordinators. This position requires onsite presence and is classified as safety-sensitive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Management: Plan, suggest, and oversee equipment requirements to optimize production efficiency and profitability.
  • Facility Design and Adjustments: Strategically plan the arrangement of mechanical equipment and recommend modifications to existing facilities.
  • Compliance Reporting: Assist in daily and weekly reports regarding schedule adherence and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure that planned work orders are executed safely and technically, providing insights to enhance daily and turnaround planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Support all team members during turnaround execution to meet operational expectations.
  • Employee Training: Mentor and develop team members to maximize their effectiveness and performance.
  • Issue Resolution: Assess problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions to address personnel and operational challenges.
  • EHS Engagement: Participate in site environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives by complying with policies and actively engaging in EHS programs.

Qualifications:
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coordinate diverse teams and departments effectively.
  • Supervisory Background: Minimum of 5 years in roles that integrate technical, managerial, and financial expertise.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations pertinent to plant operations and maintenance.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient in understanding and operating the systems and equipment utilized at the facility.
  • Analytical Capability: Skilled in performing and analyzing various system checks.
  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
