Job Summary

The City of Claremore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water/Sewer Crew Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our water and sewer operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, construction, and repair of our water and sewer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a crew of maintenance and construction personnel in the operation and maintenance of water and sewer systems.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and vehicles, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Inspect and maintain water and sewer lines, pumps, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent leaks and other issues.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of our water and sewer systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in water and sewer operations, maintenance, and construction.
  • Valid Oklahoma state driver's license and CDL Class B.
  • Class D water and sewer operator license from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

The Water/Sewer Crew Supervisor will work in a variety of environments, including outdoors in all weather conditions, and in a office setting. The position requires the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, and to work at heights.
