Account Management Specialist I

Department: Account Management

Reports To: VP/Operations

Overview: Provide essential support to clients by delivering fundamental information through phone interactions, managing account statements and notifications, handling daily correspondence, and ensuring proper documentation for customer deposit accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming customer calls and redirect them appropriately using the switchboard.
  • Confirm customer authorization for information release.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in core system inquiry functionalities.
  • Address customer questions regarding basic account details such as balances, transaction history, account transfer requests, returned items, overdraft/NSF charges, and associated fees.
  • Prepare and dispatch statements, notifications, and other routine correspondence.
  • Efficiently operate all mailroom equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for customer deposit accounts, including creating files for new account signature cards, aligning closed account documents with the closed account list, recording legal documents in control reports, and scanning and filing account change documents.
  • Assist with file retention tasks, including expense check invoices, stop payment requests, general file maintenance forms, Debit/ATM authorization forms, and other internal records.
  • Promote and provide support for additional banking products or services.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to follow-through.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
