Policy and Advocacy Specialist

At Ally, we're committed to helping our teammates grow, develop, and learn new things. As a Policy and Advocacy Specialist, you'll play a critical role in reviewing and completing the fulfillment of tasks within policy and procedure, identifying and escalating potential risks within each process.
Key responsibilities include investigating payment history, reviewing accounts for repossession approval, and partnering with multiple lines of business to resolve consumer issues. You'll utilize strong organizational, data entry, and analysis skills to escalate identified risks in your area of responsibility.
This role may require working on call or from home during building outages, catastrophic weather conditions, and business emergencies. You'll also assist in partnership with complaints, adhere to laptop security and work-from-home policies, and support various business and/or department-level projects.
As a Policy and Advocacy Specialist, you'll work closely with Special Handling groups on complex accounts, identify and provide appropriate training as needed, and perform clerical, administrative, and technically based activities.
We're looking for an Associate degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required, with high proficiency preferred.
Comprehension and judgment are required regarding the applicability of guidelines or policies to specific situations. You'll also be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary to meet business needs.
