The Constitutional Equality Committee Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the Constitutional Equality Committee within the Austin National Organization for Women (NOW).

This position involves conducting research, developing content for social media platforms, and organizing workshop events to promote constitutional equality initiatives and address issues related to equal rights under the law.


Duties:

Research:
Conduct in-depth research on constitutional equality issues, including legislation, policies, and current events that impact equal rights.
Analyze data and trends to identify areas where intervention and advocacy are needed most.

Content Creation:


Develop engaging and informative content for the organization's social media channels, website, and other communication platforms to raise awareness about constitutional equality issues.

Create educational materials, such as fact sheets, infographics, and reports, to inform the public and stakeholders about constitutional equality.

Workshop Events:


Plan, organize, and coordinate workshop events and educational sessions on topics related to constitutional equality, including policy discussions, legal rights education, and community outreach events.

Identify and secure guest speakers, facilitators, and venues for events.

Collaboration:


Collaborate with other committees within the organization and external partners to support joint initiatives and campaigns related to constitutional equality.

Work with local advocacy groups, legal organizations, and educational institutions to promote constitutional equality initiatives.

Advocacy:
Advocate for policies and legislation that advance constitutional equality at the local, state, and national levels.
Develop advocacy campaigns and mobilize grassroots efforts to support constitutional equality initiatives.

Outreach:
Engage with community members, activists, and stakeholders to build support for constitutional equality initiatives and mobilize grassroots advocacy efforts.
Participate in community events, meetings, and forums to represent the organization and promote its constitutional equality goals.

Reporting:
Provide regular updates and reports to the Austin NOW leadership team on committee activities, accomplishments, and challenges.
Maintain accurate records of research findings, event outcomes, and advocacy efforts.

Volunteer Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support committee activities and events.
Coordinate volunteer assignments and ensure they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.

Networking:


Build relationships with other organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders working on constitutional equality issues to strengthen collaboration and collective action.

Attend networking events and conferences to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in constitutional equality.

Administration:
Perform administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining records, managing budgets, and coordinating logistics for committee meetings and events.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

This position is crucial for advancing constitutional equality efforts within Austin NOW, and the Coordinator will play a key role in shaping and driving the initiatives of the Constitutional Equality Committee.
