Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Security Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the security personnel while ensuring the safety and protection of the resort, its guests, staff, visitors, and vendors. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service to all patrons and involves conducting regular patrols throughout the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct continuous patrols around the resort grounds.
  • Assist in managing incidents or emergencies as they arise.
  • Supervise all gatehouse officers and lifeguards on duty.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the Security Manager for further action.
  • Ensure that security officers and lifeguards fulfill their assigned responsibilities effectively.
  • Act as the Training Officer for the designated shift.
  • Ensure all documentation generated during the shift is accurate and complete.
  • Provide coverage for shifts when necessary or find suitable replacements.
  • Facilitate effective communication by passing down and receiving information between staff and the Security Manager.
  • Document and assist in addressing any disciplinary matters that arise during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Assist with the unlocking of safe boxes and doors as needed.
  • Support police investigations when required.
  • Understand and enforce company policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Be trained to de-escalate conflicts and heated situations.
  • Utilize the Chain of Command to report ongoing personnel issues.
  • Maintain all departmental vehicles and equipment, reporting any malfunctions as necessary.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports on any unusual incidents observed or reported.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding all meetings, files, reports, and ongoing investigations.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and common sense in interactions with guests, visitors, and staff.
  • Relieve gatehouse officers for breaks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Security Class D license in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in security.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR/AED is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
  • Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Availability on weekends and holidays is essential.

Hygiene and Safety Standards:

  • Report any issues related to procedures and health and safety standards to management.
  • Implement and adhere to H.A.C.C.P. methods and hygiene protocols.
  • Follow personal hygiene and uniform standards as established by the resort.
  • Ensure the upkeep and preservation of facilities, equipment, and materials.
