MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the maintenance operations of our fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our vehicles, as well as managing a team of maintenance staff.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles.
  • Oversee the maintenance program budget and ensure that all contractual requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts inventory and vendor management.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance or operations role, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and coordinating maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of maintenance staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy diesel vehicle repair and maintenance, including air conditioning systems, transmissions, electrical diagnosis, emission control systems, and wheelchair lifts.
  • ASE certification in truck or school bus repair is preferred.
