We are seeking a Healthcare Patient Liaison for our client.
Position Title: Healthcare Patient Liaison
Location: Not Specified
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation: $20/hr - $23/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient intake and appointment scheduling for a busy physician, ensuring effective communication through phone interactions.
- Facilitate follow-up actions for patients, including scheduling imaging and referrals.
- Document all pertinent communications in the electronic health record system.
- Support various aspects of patient care coordination.
- Oversee clinic schedules, appointment follow-ups, authorizations, and insurance verifications.
- Respond to patient inquiries, verify insurance details, and prepare necessary documentation for clinic visits.
- Coordinate the scheduling of surgeries and diagnostic tests, including sending pre-operative instructions to patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care throughout different phases.
- Assist in arranging follow-up care for post-surgical patients.
- Work collaboratively with all physicians within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems and medical terminology.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of various insurance types.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in patient intake and scheduling for high-volume medical practices.
- Ability to follow up on patient care processes.
- Insurance verification skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with insurance authorizations.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
