Position: Senior Power Systems Engineer

Department: Engineering

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a diverse engineering team to innovate and develop advanced power conversion solutions tailored for various vehicle categories.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance for existing products.
  • Draft hardware specifications, circuit designs, operational theories, and select appropriate components based on detailed design requirements.
  • Engage with PCB and Mechanical Engineers to optimize product and power stage designs, focusing on efficiency, EMI suppression, and thermal management.
  • Work alongside Software Engineers to establish power stage control mechanisms and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with Product Development Engineers to analyze test outcomes and aid in resolving compliance issues.
  • Support the selection of power electronic components for legacy products nearing obsolescence or end-of-life.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing high-frequency, high-power electronic power conversion systems (including LV DC-DC, HV DC-DC, DC-AC, and Motor Drives) for automotive applications.
  • Proficiency in resonant conversion and soft-switching topologies.
  • Experience in designing custom high-frequency magnetics.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation and thermal analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across all engineering disciplines, including manufacturing.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Proficient in software tools such as:
    1. Microsoft Office Suite
    2. LT Spice or similar for circuit simulation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of high-voltage (700V-2kV) and high-current (10A-600A) systems.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards (SAE, ISO, UL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mobile industrial sectors related to hybrid, battery electric, and fuel cell electric vehicles.
  • Experience with Altium PCB design software for schematic development and modifications.
Work Environment
  • Office setting.
  • Exposure to chemicals (refer to Safety Data Sheets).
  • Presence of dust, paint, and noise.
  • Protective clothing and equipment may be necessary.
