Responsibilities

The Plant Services Engineer plays a critical role in implementing manufacturing platforms across domestic and international locations. As a project manager, you'll oversee the implementation of various projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical expertise to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mechanical and electrical drawing files using AutoCAD/Solidworks
  • Lead lean Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts to improve process and equipment reliability
  • Design and implement plant layouts with Project Engineering support
  • Provide hands-on equipment and process troubleshooting & training
  • Support Engineering on R & D of new equipment and processes
  • Project Management
  • Travel > 75%

Requirements:

  • Plastic extrusion or injection mold experience
  • Familiarity with Lean processes and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 2-yr Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics with experience
  • Read and write fluently in English and Spanish as needed
  • At least five years in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work safely in and around plant equipment
  • Work within the plant climate conditions
  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes
  • Position requires a full range of body motion, including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicle
