About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team at Experis. As a Critical Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
  • Provide emergency response to facility-related issues and maintain visibility of critical electrical and cooling systems.
  • Access and utilize the CMMS system to track and complete equipment repairs.
  • Manage shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency.
  • Manage asset and inventory management and assist in recruiting efforts.
Requirements
  • Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting and repair knowledge.
  • BS Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree a plus.
  • 0-2 years of Data Center experience preferred.
  • Computer proficient in MS Office.
  • Team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environments.
