Job Summary

The Plant Services Engineer is a critical role within Advanced Drainage Systems, responsible for implementing and managing manufacturing platforms across domestic and international locations. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Platform Implementation: Successfully implement various manufacturing platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and equipment.
  • Process Improvement: Lead lean Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced costs.
  • Plant Layout Development: Collaborate with Project Engineering to develop and implement plant layouts, optimizing production workflows and equipment utilization.
  • Regional Support: Provide multi-plant assistance, supporting regional teams in implementing manufacturing platforms and process improvements.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting and Training: Provide hands-on equipment and process troubleshooting, as well as training to production staff, ensuring optimal equipment performance and operator efficiency.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel extensively (over 75%) to support multiple plants and manufacturing platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or 2-year Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics with relevant experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in process improvement and project management.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish (read and write).
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work safely in and around plant equipment, and perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes.
  • Travel: Valid driver's license and passport required for frequent travel (over 75%).
