Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Vessel Engineer to join our team at the U.S. Army. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing maintenance and repairs on Army watercraft and auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily systems checks and troubleshoot issues with watercraft propulsion machinery
  • Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines, as well as lift machinery and engine-related electrical systems
  • Train in basic electronics, hydraulics, and shop practices, as well as engine operation and maintenance
  • Inspect and maintain propellers and staffs
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience or combination of formal training and experience totaling 2 years in operation and maintenance of marine vessel items
  • Certification by the U.S. Coast Guard with a Merchant Marine Document proving service in the Engineering Department
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident with a valid green card
  • Must have a H.S. Diploma or a G.E.D.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
