Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacotherapy Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high-level practice in pediatric transplant pharmacotherapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Clinical Practice Guidelines: Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines that enhance pharmaceutical care and medication safety in pediatric transplant patients.
  • Provide Expertise and Guidance: Provide expertise and guidance to healthcare teams on medication use evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and medication safety.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance and Improvement Activities: Conduct quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care and medication safety.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Rounds: Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to provide pharmacotherapy expertise and guidance to healthcare teams.
  • Develop and Maintain a High-Level Clinical Pharmacy Practice: Develop and maintain a high-level clinical pharmacy practice that enhances patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • New York State Pharmacist Licensure: New York State Pharmacist Licensure.
  • PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Training: PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency training or equivalent salaried professorship at a school of pharmacy.
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy: Board certification in pharmacotherapy or other specialty within 18 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-Motivation and Good Communication Skills: Self-motivation and good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
