Job Summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the Direction of Nursing Services: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
  • Delegate Duties and Monitor Work Performance: You will delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their work performance and providing guidance as needed.
  • Observe Patients and Report Changes: You will observe patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition, and report any changes to the attending physician.
  • Implement Changes in Orders: You will assist with implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: You will perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate: You must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse: You must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current License: You must have a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and be willing to submit proof of license renewal every other year.
  • Willingness to Work as Charge Nurse: You must be willing to work as a charge nurse and work as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ability to Provide Quality Care: You must have the ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR Certification: You must be CPR certified yearly.
  • Attend In-Service Training: You must be willing to attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
