Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.

If your LPN license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.


  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility in roles such as supervisor or unit manager preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and willingness to train with IVs, PICC lines, drains, ports, and GTs.
  • Experience in a skilled rehabilitation unit and/or hospital setting preferred.
  • Responsible for training LPN/CNA skills.
  • Monitor daily resident care and interact with medical professionals.
  • Assist with discharge and admission paperwork/education.
  • Attend morning and Medicare meetings.
  • Provide feedback on potential admission referrals.
  • Desired qualities include being friendly, resident-centered, helpful, organized, and an effective communicator.
Responsibilities


The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a vital member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing meaningful relationships with patients and their support systems. Collaborating with physicians and other team members, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health or support a peaceful transition.

The Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes evidence-based practices and compassion to guide patients through their health journeys.

You will accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for the management and delivery of care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
