LPN-Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation department at MetroHealth Old Brooklyn Campus. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, residents, and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN license.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to patients, residents, and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN license.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Physician in the assigned patient/resident care area.
- Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Manage patient flow and provide patient care in a coordinated manner.
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the State of Ohio through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proficient with performing venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Basic computer skills.
- 1 year of experience in an in-patient or long term care setting.
The LPN will work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ability to lift pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance is required.
