LPN-Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation department at MetroHealth Old Brooklyn Campus. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, residents, and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN license.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to patients, residents, and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN license.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Physician in the assigned patient/resident care area.
- Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage patient flow, monitor, and direct patient care in a coordinated manner.
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the State of Ohio through the Ohio Board of Nursing, including certification to pass medications, AND completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing IV therapy course.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), OR obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient with performing venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Basic computer skills.
- 1 year of experience in an in-patient or long term care setting.
The LPN will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The LPN will be required to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. The LPN will also be required to see in the normal visual range with or without correction, hear in the normal audio range with or without correction, and lift pounds with assistance.
